Wise County officials confirm shooting

WISE COUNTY, Va. (WYMT) – The Wise County Sheriff’s Office announced that officers from Wise and Dickenson County responded to a shooting in St. Paul.

The incident occurred in the 5700 block of Creek Hill Road.

When officers arrived, they found a seriously injured person who was transported by helicopter for further treatment.

The person responsible for the shooting was arrested by officers and the sheriff’s office stated that there was no danger to the public.

The shooting is currently under investigation. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
