Outside of the emotional connection Bills fans have with Hamlin, he has been an effective player for Buffalo. That said, he has since been usurped on the depth chart by Cam Lewis, returning Taylor Rapp (who was with the Bills last year despite Kenyon’s analysis), free agent signee Mike Edwards and rookie Cole Bishop. Although Hamlin has played well on special teams in the past, it’s a little difficult to imagine him among the 53 players at this point, given Buffalo’s relative depth at the position.
