UTV driver killed in Clinton County crash

One person was killed in a utility terrain vehicle (UTV) accident in Clinton County Saturday morning, according to a press release.

According to a news release, shortly before 11:45 a.m. Saturday, Clinton County officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of 320th Avenue for a report of a single commercial vehicle (UTV) accident.

This area is approximately two miles north of Charlotte, Iowa. According to the press release, the driver and sole occupant of the UTV died as a result of the accident.

The identity of the deceased will be kept secret until the family is properly notified, the statement said.

The accident remains under investigation by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office.

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Charlotte Fire Department, Goose Lake Fire Department, Delmar Fire Department, Maquoketa Ambulance and the Clinton County Coroner’s Office.
