American journalist Megyn Kelly has launched a scathing attack on First Lady Jill Biden after reports emerged that she wants US President Joe Biden to continue his candidacy for a second term despite calls to drop out of the race.

Appearing on Piers Morgan’s online TV show “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” Kelly branded Jill a “power-hungry contender for political power” who recently appeared on the cover of Vogue magazine. She claimed that Jill staged the photoshoot for the magazine to “promote herself” and attempt to lead a “shadow presidency” in place of her “frail” husband Biden.

“I think she herself has been exposed as a power-hungry contender for political power,” she told Morgan.

Jill is reportedly pressuring Biden to resist growing pressure to withdraw from the presidential race amid concerns about his advanced age, especially after his lackluster debate performance against Trump. When answering questions, Biden stammered, appeared confused and even lost his train of thought.

Kelly, the current host of “The Megyn Kelly Show,” also attacked Jill over a 2021 photo showing the First Lady sitting in a chair while writing on X: “Preparing for the G7 summit.”

“She’s not the damn president. Get out of the chair,” Kelly said, attacking Jill, according to news site Mediaite. She went on to say that no one wanted Jill at the G7 summit and “no one elected her” to “lead us politically.”

Kelly also recalled the backlash she faced after criticizing the first lady for insisting on being referred to as Dr. Jill Biden because of her doctorate in education (EdD). “Why does she insist? Because she’s power hungry. Because she’s got a little bruised ego that she needs to build up,” she said, adding that only doctors should be allowed to hold such a title.

Kelly also compared the footage of Jill accompanying Biden as he left the debate stage in Atlanta last week to the way a “mommy” would accompany a “toddler.”

Despite Biden’s horrific performance in the debate, Jill said, “Joe, you did so well! You answered every question! You knew all the facts!”
