Incident of driving aggression in Billings leads to murder investigation

BILLINGS – Police have launched a homicide investigation following the death of a man who was injured in a road rage incident.

In a press release, police said the incident occurred on Thursday, June 6, 2024, shortly after 9 p.m.

Officers responded to reports of an assault in the 800 block of Radford Square West in which a 55-year-old man sustained serious injuries and received medical attention from bystanders.

The other person involved, a 17-year-old male, had left the scene before officers arrived but later returned.

The 55-year-old man was taken to a hospital in Billings, where he later died.

According to police, investigators determined that a physical altercation occurred on the street between the man and the teenager, which began with an incident of road rage.

The 17-year-old is cooperating with the investigation, the press release states.

The names of the people involved have not yet been disclosed.

No immediate arrest was made and the incident remains under investigation.
