Houston Food Bank Needs Volunteers

HOUSTON – The Houston Food Bank is calling on volunteers to help in the wake of last week’s deadly storm that ripped through the Houston area.

Officials said additional helping hands are needed to help sort and package products for delivery to the community.

FOX 26 Houston is now on the FOX LOCAL app available via Apple TV, Amazon FireTV, Roku, Google Android TV and Vizio!

Individuals, including children, as well as groups are welcome to volunteer and registration can be done online for a shift.

The trips are as follows:

• 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Saturday

• from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday

• Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Officials said there was a significant need for volunteers between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
