Sapura Ônix heads to Atlanta field to install subsea facilities

The specialist vessel Sapura Ônix is ​​en route to the Atlanta field, in the Santos Basin, offshore Brazil, where it will carry out the installation of subsea equipment to support oil production, scheduled for August 2024.

Brazilian oil and gas company Enauta said the Sapura Ônix vessel was en route to install multiphase pumps (MPP), umbilicals for power and data transmission, as well as production risers, connecting the infrastructure subsea wells at FPSO Atlanta.

The FPSO Atlanta, chartered and operated by the Malaysian company Yinson Production, is currently anchored there, following its arrival from Dubai.



The FPSO has the capacity to process 50,000 barrels of oil per day, 140,000 barrels of water per day and store 1.6 million barrels of oil.

Enauta earlier confirmed it was on schedule to deliver first oil from the Atlanta FPSO in August 2024.
