Global Brands Announces 10-Year Agreement for Buffalo Brands

Global Brands Group Holdings Limited announced on Wednesday that it has entered into a long-term licensing agreement with Iconix Brand Group and Buffalo International for the Buffalo David Bitton and i Jeans by Buffalo brands.

The agreement, which runs through 2025, will add Buffalo David Bitton and i Jeans by Buffalo to Global Brands’ portfolio. Global Brands will also design, produce and distribute products in both brands’ core categories.

Bruce Rockowitz, CEO and Group Vice Chairman, Global Brands, said, “With the addition of the Buffalo brands, we have taken another important step in establishing Global Brands as a leader in the denim category. We are focused on categories where we want to be a key player and achieve scale. Denim is one such category that we are excited about and where we see great growth potential. We are seeing a resurgence of denim as a fashion staple and believe it will continue to be a strong trend.”

Gaby Bitton, President of Buffalo International, said: “We are pleased to announce this long-term strategic partnership with Global Brands that will strengthen and consolidate the Buffalo David Bitton and i Jeans brands worldwide. The joint venture will continue the strong marketing support that has helped establish the brands as category leaders.”

This agreement is the second long-term deal Global Brands has entered into in the denim sector; the first was with Joe’s Jeans in early September.
