Pedestrian lying on road struck and killed by vehicle in north Houston

A man died after being struck by a vehicle early Wednesday morning in north Houston.

Houston Police Department Vehicle Crimes Division units are investigating the fatal incident, which happened around 12:54 a.m. on East Crosstimbers Street near I-45. Witnesses said the man was acting erratically and was lying in the street for about five minutes before he was struck.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
