Douglas County deputy involved in shooting at southwest Atlanta gas station, GBI says

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A shooting involving a law enforcement officer remains under investigation in southwest Atlanta.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said it was called early Monday to investigate a shooting involving a Douglas County deputy at a BP gas station on Fulton Industrial Boulevard, just off Interstate 20.

Police have currently cordoned off the gas station and are focusing on two vehicles. One of the vehicles appears to be a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office vehicle.
