The Okaloosa Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left one person injured

OKALOOSA, Fla. (WMBB) – The Okaloosa Sheriff’s Office is investigating the motive behind a shooting that left a Destin man with multiple gunshot wounds Friday.

Deputies said they responded to a call from the Sea Glass Apartments on Commons Drive at 7:30 p.m.

When they arrived, authorities found a 60-year-old man with serious injuries who had been driving a white truck. The suspected shooter called to tell officers he was in an apartment in the complex, a news release said.

According to authorities, the victim was last reported to be alive and was being treated at a local hospital.

The motive for the shooting is unknown and remains under investigation.
