Sheriff’s deputies investigate shooting on Waco Avenue in Lamont

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – Kern County officials are investigating a shooting that left one person injured Friday night.

At around 7 p.m., officers were called to the 9700 block of Waco Avenue for a report of a shooting. One person was found with a gunshot wound, the severity of the injury was initially unclear.

Officials said officers are in the area searching for one or more suspects.
