MADERA, CA (May 29, 2024) – Two people were injured in a drunk driving rollover crash on Avenue 12 near 37 1/2 Street.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the car crash occurred early Sunday. A man lost control of a black 2010 Honda Civic due to drunk driving. The Honda, which was traveling westbound, then overturned at high speed in a field and crashed into a property near a residential building.

Paramedics arrived shortly afterward and cared for the male driver and his female passenger, who sustained minor injuries. An investigation determined the man was under the influence of alcohol, which led to his arrest. If anyone has any additional information about this accident, please call the CHP.
