APD investigating after person was grazed by gunshot

ATLANTA — Atlanta police officers are investigating after a person suffered a graze wound in northwest Atlanta Monday evening, police said.

The age of the person injured in the shooting is currently unknown. The incident occurred in the 700 block of Neal St. NW in the English Avenue neighborhood of Atlanta.

11Alive’s Cody Alcorn said there were a number of shell casings on the road in the area and James P. Brawley and Neal Street were closed for investigation. A crime scene unit was also requested.
