  • Amon Amarth at Bayou Music Center – Get ready as a divine death metal assemblage comes to downtown when ferociously popular Swedish melodious metal band Amon Amarth brings their Metal crushes everything tour. They will be joined by none other than Cannibal Corpse, Obituary and Frozen Soul for the ride. $61 and up. 6:30 p.m.
  • Isaiah Rashad at House of Blues – To celebrate the great Cilvia demoIn celebration of the 10th anniversary of the party, famous TDE rapper Isaiah Rashad kicks off the party on the House of Blues stage. $44.50 and up. 8 p.m.

  • Idles in concert at White Oak Music Hall – The Bristol rock band has just released their fifth studio album, Tangkand will bring it to the White Oak crowd when they stop on their Love is the FING tour. $40 and up. 5:30 p.m.
  • Georgia James Oregon Wine Trail Tasting Event – The steakhouse offers a tasting tour of more than 50 wines from 13 different Oregon wineries, complemented by light bites in the Georgia James Lounge. $55 per person. 6 p.m.
  • Stand Up for Pets at Houston Improv – This night of laughter raises funds for the non-profit veterinary clinics of Emancipet. Veteran Houston comics Marcus Wiley and Dave Lawson will host. $20 for 2 or more. 7 p.m.
  • Ghosts: do you believe in them? at the House of Blues – Diving deep into the world of paranormal phenomena, Dustin Pari shares ghost stories through an interactive journey of encounters, mind-boggling phenomena and first-hand accounts. $30 and up. 7 p.m.

  • Sazon Latin Gastronomy Festival at the Karbach Brewery | FREE – Come hungry for an outdoor family-friendly tasting of curated dishes from across Latin America, complete with live salsa music and tasty craft beers. 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Market in the garden of the B-52 brewery | No coverage – This unique market brings together a selection of artisan vendors in the shade of the imposing trees of the Conroe Brewery. Browse artisanal products while sipping suds straight from the tap. From noon to 5 p.m.
  • Crawfest 2024 at Redemption Square | FREE – Spice up your weekend with a stop in northeast Houston for a burst of Cajun flavors with authentic Louisiana crawfish, jambalaya and boudin. It’s a busy day with vendors, bubble parties, and live music. 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Summer Strand Series: Vallejo in Concert at Saengerfest Park | FREE – Welcome summer at The Strand in Galveston with live classic rock, funky beats and Vallejo Latin beats. Soak up the island vibe with craft beer, wine, and food truck delights available for purchase. 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Adult owl on the prowl at the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center – The final owl hunt of the season features an up-close encounter with live owl ambassadors, plus nighttime hikes and light snacks, Saint Arnold’s beer, coffee and hot chocolate. 16 years and over. $50. 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Comedian Gary Meikle at the Secret Group – The Scottish comic known for his viral social media rants comes to EaDo for a brand new set of playful, dark and hard-hitting material. $30. 8 p.m.
  • Grupo Firme in concert at the Toyota Center – Mexican music stars are back on the road with the La Ultima Peda Tour, providing full-fledged singalongs in this feel-good extravaganza. $99.50 and up. 8 p.m.
  • Monthly Underworld Party at Numbers Nightclub – Special guest DJs are expected to take to the dance floor at the iconic Montrose club during the monthly party, highlighted by gothic tunes from DJ Rickbats. $10; $15 for those under 21. 9 p.m.
  • Kyle Walker DJ Set at Bauhaus Houston – Directly from Los Angeles, Walker is known for creating monumental waves in the dance music scene with sounds ranging from deep and melodic to the rawer, club side of tech house. $20 and up. 10 p.m.
