First Peoples Buffalo Jump Park hosts “All About Snakes”

Visitors to First Peoples Buffalo Jump Park can spend an afternoon talking and learning as part of the “All About Snakes” program on May 18 at 1 p.m.

The free program will be presented by Dan “The Snake Man” Waitt and will teach about the behavior and ecology of Montana snakes and how to safely travel park trails during the summer snake season, as well as dispel some of the common myths. and allay the fears of people who are uncomfortable around snakes, according to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

First Peoples Buffalo Jump Park Begins Summer Hours

This informative program will take place exclusively inside the First Peoples Buffalo Jump classroom and does not include hiking.

Capacity in the park’s classroom can accommodate 50 people and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, according to FWP.
