Get the mud off those boots and the dust off those cowboy hats! The Summersville Library’s 10th annual Cowboy Roundup is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 8 for cowboys and cowgirls of all ages,

Barrel racer Haylee Brawley will be at the Summersville Branch Library with her favorite horse, Husker, giving rides to all the kids who want to get in the saddle, and the Friends of the Summersville Library will be providing a free lunch in their “chuckwagon” around noon for everyone.

Other activities planned are roping lessons with Dusty Bell, water gun target shooting, horse races with sticks and a few games of horseshoes, all with prizes for the winners.

The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Summersville Library and the Texas County Library.
