Surat: A 22-year-old Delhi man was arrested by the Limbayat police in Surat for allegedly raping a 19-year-old city student, recording nude videos of her and posting them online. The accused Sushant Gupta was also arrested on charges of unnatural sexual intercourse, criminal intimidation and under various sections of the Information Technology Act, besides rape. According to a complaint filed by the rape survivor, she came in contact with Gupta on April 23 when he came to her sister’s house in Limbayat area. One day, Gupta took her to a hotel where he plied her with a soft drink. After she fell unconscious, he allegedly raped her and recorded nude videos of her. Later, he blackmailed the girl with the videos and raped her multiple times by threatening to post them online. The girl claimed that she was also subjected to unnatural sexual intercourse. When she refused to enter into a physical relationship, Gupta threatened to kill her brother. tnn
