Before that, Mize had been pretty solid, allowing just two runs in 11 innings in his two starts before the Yankees’ exit.

After Friday’s game, the Tigers will face the Astros two more times, with former ace Justin Verlander set to take the mound on Sunday. The Tigers will have their team’s ace, Tarik Skubak, pitching Saturday.
