John BOOGREN obituary – Buffalo, MN

The 68-year-old from Buffalo returned to his heavenly home on September 14, 2017, after a long and valiant battle with cancer. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God sustained him in his struggle and ultimately brought him peace. Jack was blessed with a large and loving family and is survived by his best friend and wife of 16 years, Sharon; children, Jacqueline (Rick) Gorman and Troy (Gina) Boogren; stepchildren, Shad (Melissa) Ketcher, Brock (Naomi) Ketcher and Nicole (Tim) Landon, sisters Bonnie (Tim) Schreiber and Joan (James) Hoover; 12 grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as many friends who have become like family. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Lorraine Boogren. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Buffalo Hospital Foundation – Virginia Piper Cancer Research. Jack’s funeral will be held Thursday, September 21 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 1200 Highway 25 South, Buffalo. Burial will be Monday, September 25 at 10:30 a.m., Assembly Area 4 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
