UB’s Commitment to Freedom of Expression

UB’s Commitment to Freedom of Expression

The University at Buffalo strives to create an environment in which diverse views can be expressed and heard. As a public university, one of UB’s core values is that all members of the campus community and their guests have the right to peacefully express their views and opinions, whether or not others may disagree with those expressions. This includes the right of protesters to object to the views or opinions of others, but not in a manner that limits or inhibits the speaker’s freedom of expression or interferes with the operation of the university.
