Man hijacks FedEx van at gunpoint, Atlanta police say

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Atlanta police are asking for the public’s help in searching for a person of interest in a carjacking in southwest Atlanta.

Police said a FedEx van was carjacked at 2070 Alison Court SW just before 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police say the man got into the van, pulled out a gun and stole the truck.

The van was “quickly located abandoned near 1932 Staton Road SW in East Point,” police said.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477. There is a reward of up to $2,000.
