Amid CISF cop slapping incident, Kangana Ranaut’s old post defending Will Smith for slapping Chris Rock goes viral

Two days after actor and newly elected MP Kangana Ranaut was slapped by a CISF policeman at Chandigarh airport, an old post of the actor has gone viral in which he defended Hollywood actor Will Smith for slapping Chris Rock on stage during the 2022 Oscars.

A screenshot of Kangana’s Instagram story is doing the rounds online, which reads, “If some idiot took advantage of my mom or sister’s illness to make a bunch of idiots laugh I would slap him like @willsmith did…crazy trick…hope he goes to my #jail,” she posted along with a picture of Will Smith slapping Chris.

Will Smith and Chris Rock: Slapgate

At the 2022 Academy Awards, Chris Rock took the stage to present the award for Best Documentary Feature and made a joke about actress Jada Pinkett Smith, Will Smith’s wife. Chris quipped, “GI Jane 2. I can’t wait to see it,” referring to Jada. The joke was a reference to the 1997 war drama “GI Jane,” in which Demi Moore’s character, the first female Navy SEAL, shaves her head. The remark was aimed at Jada’s baldness, which is caused by a condition called alopecia. While Will initially giggled, Jada was seen rolling her eyes. Moments later, Will walked onstage and punched Chris in the face.

Kangana criticises people praising CISF police officers

Meanwhile, Kangana on Saturday criticised people who praised the CISF policewoman who slapped her, asking if it would also justify “rape or murder”.

In a video message on Thursday, Ranaut claimed that she was punched in the face and abused by the police officer during a security check at Chandigarh airport.

Ranaut posted on X: “Every rapist, murderer or thief always have a strong emotional, physical, psychologically or financial reasons to commit a crime, no crime ever happens without a reason, and yet they are convicted and sentenced to prison. If you are criminal strong emotional impulse to commit a crime violating all the laws of the land. Remember, if you have no problem penetrating a person’s private parts, touching their body without their permission and attacking them, then deep down you have no problem with rape or murder either, because that is also just penetration or a stab wound, what a big deal. You need to examine your psychological criminal tendencies more closely. I suggest you start yoga and meditation, otherwise life will become a bitter and stressful experience, please don’t carry so much resentment, hatred and jealousy with you, free yourself.”

Kulwinder Kaur, the accused CISF official, has been suspended and an inquiry has been launched. The CISF, which is in charge of airport security, has also ordered an inquiry into the incident.
