MSPD: 36-year-old dead after two-vehicle accident in Muscle Shoals

MUSCLE SHOALS, Alabama (WHNT) – According to the Muscle Shoals Police Department (MSPD), a 36-year-old man was killed following a two-vehicle crash Friday morning.

At approximately 5:50 a.m., Muscle Shoals Police Officers and Fire Department responded to a fatal two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Woodward Ave. and Richton Ave.

Investigators say 36-year-old Jesus Garcia-Moreno turned off Richton Avenue but failed to yield the right of way and collided with a Ford Ranger truck traveling north on Woodward Avenue.

Colbert County Deputy Coroner Matt Moore pronounced Garcia-Moreno dead at the scene.

No information was given as to whether the driver of the Ford Ranger was injured in the accident.
