Brandon McManus accused of sexual assault; NFL kicker and Jaguars sued for million

According to ESPN’s Michael DiRocco, two women have sued NFL kicker Brandon McManus and the Jacksonville Jaguars over allegations of sexual harassment during the team’s flight to London last season.

“According to the lawsuit, the two women worked as flight attendants on the Jaguars’ Sept. 28, 2023 charter flight from Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, and they claim the flight ‘quickly turned into a party’ as McManus and several other players disregarded the flight attendants’ privacy, flight safety and federal law,” DiRocco reported. “The lawsuit also alleges that McManus recruited three other flight attendants for the party and handed out $100 bills to encourage them to drink and dance inappropriately for him.”

A lawyer for McManus called the allegations “absolutely fabricated” in a statement:

The Washington Commanders, McManus’ current team, issued a statement regarding the lawsuit.

“We were notified earlier today of the civil lawsuit filed against Brandon McManus on May 24,” the team said. “We take allegations of this nature very seriously and are investigating the matter. We have communicated with the league office and Brandon’s representative and will refrain from commenting further at this time.”

The Jaguars also issued a statement on Monday:

One woman, identified as Jane Doe I, said McManus tried to kiss her and “rubbed himself against her twice while serving the flight’s two meals.” The other woman, Jane Doe II, said McManus “rubbed himself against her” and “grinned and walked away” when she confronted him.

The women say they have suffered “severe mental anguish” and other mental health problems since the alleged incidents and have been fired from the staff of flights chartered by the Jaguars. They are seeking about $1 million in damages.

McManus spent the 2023 season with Jacksonville after playing his first nine years with the Denver Broncos.

The 32-year-old signed a $3.6 million contract with the Commanders for 2024.
