Is this the hottest year on record in Buffalo, New York?

If you feel like this summer is a lot hotter than usual, you’re not alone.

For a city perpetually known for its abundance of snow and freezing temperatures in the winter, here in Buffalo we seem to have had several bouts of scorching heat in recent months.

It seems like this year we’ve been turning on our air conditioners and fans earlier than ever (and sweating through more shirts than we care to admit). Thankfully, July isn’t as brutally hot as the 90-degree days of last June, though we could have done without the severe thunderstorms and tornadoes we’ve been dealing with over the past two weeks.
