A big step forward for Low Inside in the NYSS in Buffalo

HAMBURG, NEW YORK — After winning a pair of $20,000 Excelsior Series races, Low Inside will step up to the plate Wednesday afternoon (July 17) at Buffalo Circuit and tries his luck in harness racing in the $106,300 New York Sire Stakes for 2-year-old trotting colts and geldings.

Bottom inside (Sneaky Man-Nowerland Kristen) posted a 4-1/2-length victory June 24 at Saratoga Raceway and followed that with a 1-3/4-length victory in 1:58.0 at Vernon Downs July 4. So with back-to-back wins in her two career starts, the natural progression is to move on and see what happens against tougher competition.

Dan Daley coaches and will lead Low Inside from the third hole.

Another entrant coming off a victory in the Excelsior Series is BJM’s Lil Man (Sneaky Man-Vixen). Conditioned by John Berger, BJM’s Lil Man ignited the race on July 4 at Vernon Downs with a 10-length victory in 1:56.4. He will be at the finish line at Buffalo Raceway with Tyler Buter as his driver.

A trio of entrants have entered the Sire Stakes but have not yet had much luck.

Karinchal (Chapter Seven-Sianna Hanover), Security Code S (Chapter Seven-Queen Paige) and local participant El Commando (EL Titan-Mia Stellina) all dipped their hooves in the NYSS pool and are hoping this race will jumpstart their season and career.

Other participants in the race, scheduled for the seventh of 11 races, include Banksy Monkey (Chapter Seven-Fogged windows) and Magic Brilliance (EL Titan-Alana’s genius.

There will also be a pair of $20,000 Excelsior Series tournaments, which will begin at 2:30 p.m.

This is the final week of live racing at Buffalo Raceway. The track has added Sunday, July 21, to the schedule with a special noon post time on closing day. There will also be afternoon races on Wednesday and Friday at 2:30 p.m., with the final evening program scheduled for Saturday at 6 p.m. to close out the 2024 campaign.
