ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Two water main breaks Friday caused service issues in Atlanta, according to the city’s Watershed Management Department. They said a citywide water service interruption was scheduled to begin for repairs at 5 p.m. and added that this would result in a water outage and/or low water pressure in some parts of the city.

The first rupture occurred on a water main carrying a large volume of water through Atlanta. Water officials have issued a boil water advisory in the heart of the city.
