Teenager is second suspect arrested in killing of elderly Lafayette man | Crime

LAFAYETTE, La. (KADN) – Lafayette police said a second arrest has been made in connection with the murder of an elderly man who was inside his home when a bullet from outside pierced his walls and struck him.

Investigators said Tr’Marion Thomas, 17, of Lafayette, was arrested on Wednesday, May 29, on charges of attempted first-degree murder (three counts) and aiding and abetting first-degree murder. He was booked into the Juvenile Detention Center.

They added that the arrest was related to the shooting death of 70-year-old Stannford Mouton in the 400 block of Macklyn Street in Lafayette on May 21.
