Deputy arrested: According to court documents, Christopher Wohlschlegel is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol and injuring two people on Sorters McClellan Road in Kingwood

KINGWOOD, Texas (KTRK) – A former Fourth Precinct deputy is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol and colliding with two other motorists, court documents show.

According to documents, 41-year-old Christopher Wohlschlegel was arrested Monday afternoon after police say he drove into oncoming traffic on Sorters McClellan Road in Kingwood.

The Fourth Precinct Police Office has not mentioned or confirmed the arrest of one of its own deputies anywhere on social media, although it has posted about other arrests of drunk drivers.

A Houston Police accident report obtained by ABC13 shows that at least three people were injured and taken to the hospital.

According to the documents, Wohlschlegel left the office on Wednesday, but it is unclear whether he was fired or resigned.

The accident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. and ABC13 asked the department if he was working at the time.

ABC13 reached out to the 4th Precinct Police Office and asked several questions but received no response.

The charging documents did not mention that several people were injured in the accident.

The accident report states that one of the drivers told police he thought he was hit head-on.

Another driver told police she assumed Wohlschlegel was driving too fast.

Wohlschlegel was charged with drunk driving.

A spokesman for the Harris County District Attorney’s Office said they are currently reviewing whether additional charges could be brought.
