Trump: Harris will “destroy the American dream forever”

Former President Donald Trump said a vote for the Vice President Kamala Harris would leave Americans unarmed and robbed and possibly killed by migrants when he portrayed them as incompetent on Saturday.

Trump began the criticism by saying, “I don’t want to be rude.”

The Republican Party’s 2024 candidate delivered a speech to supporters in Wilmington, North Carolina, describing a future with Harris as president as a time when Americans would face an economic crisis.

He added that if Harris were elected in 45 days, she would confiscate guns and give jobs to illegal immigrants. Trump said:

I believe a vote for Kamala Harris means 40 or 50 million more illegal immigrants will invade our borders. They’ll steal your money, your jobs, your lives. It means your police forces will be decimated. Your guns will be confiscated and brutal criminals will run rampant in the streets. And that’s what it means. You know what? That’s what it means. You know, she always said we’re going to confiscate all the guns. Now she’s saying, oh, no guns. I think she’s wonderful, right? That’s not how it works. They’re going to confiscate your guns.

I’m the one protecting it. You know, we have the unconditional support of every gun group, including the NRA. And we protected your Second Amendment. And if you think that was easy, it wasn’t. If Kamala Harris gets reelected, she will destroy the American dream forever. She’s not competent to be president either. But you know, I don’t want to be rude. I don’t want to be rude. She’s not competent to be president.

Harris said earlier this month that while she wants to ban certain firearms, she owns a gun herself.

Her running mate, the Democratic governor of Minnesota Tim Walzsaid that he was also a gun owner.
