Fatal shooting near downtown Topeka under investigation

TOPEKA (KSNT) – 27 News has confirmed that Topeka Police are investigating a fatal shooting Monday night near downtown Topeka.

When 27 News arrived on Monday, officers were on scene at the intersection of SW 13th and Western Ave. According to a Topeka Police watch commander, reports of shots fired in the area came in around 10 p.m. Monday night. Officers found one injured person, who was later pronounced dead.
