3-year-old boy killed, 7-year-old sister shot dead

Police say a 3-year-old boy was killed and his 7-year-old sister was injured in a shooting Friday night in Buffalo.

Officers were called to the intersection of Domedion Avenue and Heminway Street just before 9:30 p.m.

Detectives say that’s where the 3-year-old boy and his 7-year-old sister were hit by gunfire during an outdoor gathering.

Police said the 3-year-old was taken to Erie County Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The 7-year-old was taken to Oishei Children’s Hospital for treatment.

The Buffalo Police Department says it will provide an update Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Dillon Public Safety Building.
