Parmelee woman arrested after Saturday night incident in Pierre

On June 15, 2024 at approximately 7:40 p.m., the Pierre Police Patrol responded to a report of an assault in the 800 block of S. Washington.

The investigation revealed that Rhea Farmer, 31, of Parmelee, assaulted a male offender by punching him in the face, swinging a knife at him to injure him, and throwing an object and hitting him in the face. It was also determined that Farmer was intoxicated and had consumed marijuana. When officers attempted to arrest Farmer, she began to break free and resist, but was eventually taken into custody and transported to the Hughes County Jail.

Farmer is accused of aggravated domestic violence, drug use, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.
