Three people, including a child, were killed in a hit-and-run in Clinton County

WATERTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Three people were killed and several others injured in a hit-and-run in Watertown Township Saturday evening, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office.

It happened near the corner of Wacousta Road and Corrison Road on the Looking Glass River.

Officials said two of those people were adults who were found dead at the scene, and one child died at the hospital from his injuries.

We’re told nine people were taken to hospital with injuries.

According to police, the victims were struck by a driver while on their way to their grandparents’ home in Gratiot County.

According to police, the woman who hit the group of people fled the scene and was later located and taken into custody.
