For travelers in Santa Cruz County who are driving on Sunday, May 12, or have plans for Mother’s Day, Caltrans’ work may impact their travel times. In addition, crews will close “various ramps” at the intersection of Soquel Drive and 41st Avenue. Caltrans noted that at no time will two consecutive on- or off-ramps be closed simultaneously. The work being carried out is part of a much larger project that includes additional lanes, shoulder improvements for buses and a new bicycle and pedestrian crossing.

For travelers in Santa Cruz County who are driving on Sunday, May 12, or have plans for Mother’s Day, Caltrans’ work may impact their travel times.

Caltrans announced it would temporarily close the right lane of Highway 1 near Soquel Drive. In addition, crews will close “various ramps” at the intersection of Soquel Drive and 41st Avenue.
