WE WERE TOLD THIS HAPPENED THIS MORNING JUST BEFORE 1 AM ON NORTHAMPTON DRIVE. THAT’S RIGHT OFF NEW WALKERTOWN ROAD. POLICE RESPONDED TO A SHOOTING CALL TO THE ADAMS MARKET PARKING LOT. WHEN THEY ENTERED THEY FOUND DARREN LAMONT, BARNES, JUNIOR, WITH A GUNSHOT WOUND. EMS RESPONDED HIM TO THE HOSPITAL WHERE HE DIED FROM HIS INJURY

A man was killed in an early morning shooting in the parking lot of a local business, according to officials with the Winston-Salem Police Department. When police arrived, they said they found a victim, later identified as 33-year-old Daron Lamonta Bines Jr., suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

He was taken to hospital where, according to police, he died from his injuries.
