ATLANTA — Mateusz Bogusz scored on a free kick and Hugo Lloris recorded his third straight shutout to help LAFC beat Atlanta United 1-0 on Saturday night.

LAFC (7-4-3) has won three straight and four of its last five.

Goalkeeper Brad Guzan received a red card (denied an obvious scoring chance) in the 60th minute, was replaced by Josh Cohen and Atlanta played a man down until Eduard Atuesta, who received a yellow card in the 10th minute, or showed a red in the 81st.

Bogusz took advantage moments later when he fired a free kick from just outside the area, inside the post and under the crossbar, to beat Cohen, 31, making his first MLS appearance, and give LAFC a 1-0 in the 63rd.
