MAJOR LEAGUE DREAMS START HERE

Major league baseball fans, and especially New York Yankees fans, are very familiar with names like Aaron Judge, Luis Severino and Dellin Betances. This generation of Yankees should make the team a perennial playoff contender for many years to come.

What many fans don’t know, however, is that all of these players, along with several other members of the Yankees’ 40-man roster, honed their skills right here in NEPA.

PNC Field on Montage Mountain in Moosic is home to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, the AAA affiliate of the New York Yankees. The RailRiders play 71 games per year in NEPA as a member of the International League North Division.

NEPA fans enjoy watching future major league players in a beautiful stadium that was completely renovated as part of a $43.3 million construction project in 2012-13. Each season, PNC Field offers hundreds of thousands of fans a wonderful family-friendly experience with spectacular views of the field and access to dozens of special amenities.

Since Yankee Stadium is just a two-hour drive from PNC Field, Yankees executive management and team scouts can easily get a first-hand look at the progress their prospects are making right here in NEPA. In fact, many RailRiders often tell the same story: They woke up in NEPA and found themselves wearing pinstripes in the dugout at Yankee Stadium later that same day.
