BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — To commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day, News 4 Buffalo will air “D-Day: The Greatest Victory,” a one-hour special dedicated to the largest air, land and naval operation in time of war. history, when Allied troops landed on the coast of Normandy, France, to liberate Europe from the Nazis.

The actual D-Day landings took place on June 6, 1944.
