Motorcyclist killed in accident on Jacksboro Highway, road temporarily closed

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) – A motorcyclist was killed in an accident off Jacksboro Highway, police confirmed.

On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, shortly after 3 p.m., the driver of a Ford Fiesta and a 64-year-old man collided in the 4500 block of Jacksboro Highway.


According to police, the Fiesta was exiting the United Supermarkets intersection heading north when the motorcycle collided with the driver of the Fiesta in the left southbound lane.

The motorcyclist was reportedly not wearing a helmet and suffered severe head trauma, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, WFPD officials said.

Authorities have now closed a section of Jacksboro Highway from Hatton Road to PB Lane. Residents are being asked to avoid the area.
