BFNC hosts ribbon cutting ceremony for new administration building at 2365 Main Street

The Buffalo Federation of Neighborhood Centers (BFNC) recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the agency’s new administration building at 2365 Main Street – formerly Canisius’ Demerly Hall.

The agency, with 130 years of experience serving Buffalo by “providing a safety net of human services to help residents on their path to success,” will now be able to engage more with local residents providing them with a range of support services in one centralized location. along the Main Street corridor. BFNC support services are provided to people living with mental illness and those affected by substance abuse. Other services include affordable housing assistance, financial education and tax assistance. Other services offered by the agency range from food pantry to providing space for quality youth programs.

“The opening of BFNC’s new administration building represents a step in a new era of services for the 130-year-old agency,” said Chandra Redfern, CEO of BFNC. “We are living our purpose of reinventing service to the community.”

BFNC purchased Demerly Hall in December 2022 for $2.15 million. The agency will use the building as its new office while maintaining its headquarters at 97 Lemon Street in the Fruit Belt.
