A man was shot dead by police after threatening people with a knife and escalating a situation with police.

HPD Executive Deputy Police Chief Ban Tien spoke to the media and provided information on the incident.

On Saturday morning around 11:24 a.m., Houston police received a report that a man was threatening someone with a knife. Moments later, more calls came in reporting that the same man was threatening others as well.
