Atlanta Falcons All-Pro tops guard rankings for PFF

Atlanta Falcons All-Pro tops guard rankings for PFF

PFF continued its rankings series and reached inside the offensive line, ranking the top 32 guards in the NFL. If you’re an Atlanta Falcons fan, you know who’s at the top of the list. For anyone who doesn’t, the best guard in the NFL is Falcons right guard Chris Lindstrom, who earned his second straight second-team All-Pro selection by the Associated Press.

Lindstrom got off to a slow start to his NFL career, but his year-over-year improvement has made him one of the best guards in the NFL over the past three years. The former first-round pick earned second-team All-Pro honors in consecutive years and has been the league’s highest-rated guard since 2022.

Lindstrom is a force in the running game, using his athleticism and physicality to create lanes. And his pass blocking has improved, earning him a 78.6 pass blocking grade in 2023 after allowing just 15 pressures.

Lindstrom continues to progress as he becomes one of the most highly touted run blockers and linemen in the league. With an older quarterback and a wide zone running game, Atlanta will depend on the offensive line’s interior security in the passing game and athletic dominance in the running game.

With youngster Matthew Bergeron on the other side, the only thing stopping Atlanta from having the best guard tandem in the NFL is themselves.
