TCI: Man shot another injured man in separate shootings

The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force Serious Crimes Unit is investigating two firearms-related incidents that occurred in Providenciales on Friday evening and Saturday morning.

According to reports, 34-year-old Frantz Fleurimond of Five Cays was killed in a shooting on Friday evening. Initial reports indicate that Fleurimond was at home when the shot was heard. Police were notified and discovered his body upon arrival.

Meanwhile, another incident occurred on Saturday: A 48-year-old security guard was on duty at a bar near South Dock Road when an armed man entered the establishment and began robbing the patrons.

While fleeing the scene, the gunman fired two shots, one of which hit the security guard. Officers and medical personnel were dispatched to the scene and the security guard was transported to a medical facility for treatment.
