Plans for Houston’s annual Independence Day parade have been announced.

A parade will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 29 in downtown Houston. It is hosted by the Houston branch of West Plains Bank.

This year’s grand marshals are Korean War veterans. Those who served during that era are invited to gather at the parking lot of the Houston Storm Shelter, at First and Pine streets, before the parade begins.

Veterans will serve a meal that day at Lone Star Plaza, located at Grand Avenue and Pine Street in Houston.
