Van Buren man arrested and accused of human trafficking

A Van Buren man has been arrested and is accused of several serious crimes, including human trafficking of women and pornographic videos. Michael Hall was arrested by Van Buren police on Tuesday. The 32-year-old man was released on $100,000 bail. An arraignment in Crawford County District Court is scheduled for June 12, 2024. According to jail records, Hall’s employer is listed as “OnlyFans” with “porn” as his occupation. An online search shows the username “Apollostone1776” appearing on several social media platforms. Investigators confirmed to 40/29 News that the accounts belong to Hall. According to arrest warrant affidavits obtained by 40/29 News, police were asked to check on the welfare of a Florida woman who was staying at Hall’s Van Buren home. The woman told police she was fine, but a few days later police were called to the same address. According to the affidavit, when police arrived, the woman ran from the house and told officers Hall headbutted her and threatened to kill her. Police were first contacted about the allegations against Hall in January 2024. According to arrest warrant affidavits, a detective interviewed a Kentucky woman who reported that she was considering living with Hall and another woman at his home. According to the affidavit, the woman left the home after Hall became physically violent toward the other woman in the home. In May 2024, the other woman told investigators that Hall was her ex-boyfriend. According to arrest affidavits, the woman said she and Hall had been filming pornographic online videos and that Hall controlled all the proceeds from the films. According to the affidavits, the woman told investigators that if she refused to film a video, Hall would become angry and physically attack her. Hall was arrested on Tuesday. He is charged with human trafficking and two counts of aggravated assault in connection with the woman who claimed to be his ex-girlfriend. The arrest affidavit alleges the criminal activity occurred from January to April 2024. Hall is also charged with terroristic threatening and aggravated assault in connection with the woman police questioned several days ago. Hall has not responded to requests for comment. In a statement sent to 40/29 News, attorney Adam Rose said he is representing the Van Buren man and they will plead not guilty to all charges and contest the allegations in court. At this time, 40/29 News is not providing any information on the women named in court records due to the human trafficking allegations.
