Man injured in shooting in Paterson, investigation ongoing

Authorities in Passaic County said that at around 1:47 a.m. Monday morning, Paterson police were called to the area of ​​Carroll and Pearl streets for a report of a shooting.

Passaic County District Attorney Camelia M. Valdes said Paterson police located a 51-year-old male victim from Passaic.

The victim was taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound, officials said.

According to officials, Paterson police were able to locate a possible crime scene in the area.

The investigation is ongoing, officials say, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
