As part of DPS’s goals, weekly police expungement reports detail the number of reports made in the last week, incidents reported and the number of arrests made that week.

DPS spokesman Fred Sato previously said the numbers provided on the blotter reports were calls to DPS and responses from its officers.

“All active criminal reports are received and then forwarded to our criminal investigation office. “All traffic-related incidents, including reported fatal accidents, are referred to our Highway Patrol investigation units,” he said.
