Bregman, Astros beat Marlins in Houston

Alex Bregman hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning to lift the Astros past the Marlins. Houston beat Miami 4-3 in the series opener at Minute Maid Park. Bregman finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs while hitting his 11th home run of the year. Chas McCormick went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a pair of runs scored to help Houston snap a two-game losing streak. Ronel Blanco earned his ninth win after striking out seven and allowing two runs in seven innings. Josh Hader recorded his 16th save as the Astros improved to 47-44. They host the Marlins again tonight. Left-hander Framber Valdez will start against Miami right-hander Bryan Hoeing.
